Terms of use

AppSolidaire (“we”) operates the appsolidaire.com platform, which lets you buy digital products (games and apps) of which part of the price goes to a group (“the cause”). To reach us: bonjour@appsolidaire.com.

Every transaction is a purchase: you get a digital product in exchange for your payment. It is not a donation and no tax receipt is issued, not by us, not by the group.

For every paid sale, a fixed amount, shown on the product page before the purchase, goes to the cause tied to that sale (the campaign's, or the one you chose). Payouts are made to the group on the 15th of the month following the sale. Payment processing fees are ours to carry, never taken out of the cause's share. A refunded sale gives rise to no payout.

After payment, you get one access code per product (on screen, by email, and in a downloadable file). Each code is personal and lets you use the product on up to 5 devices, with no subscription and no recurring fees. The licence is granted for personal and family use; reselling or distributing codes is prohibited. If you change devices or clear your browser, write to us: we reset your device counter, free of charge.

Payments are processed by Stripe, an independent payment provider — your card is never seen or stored by our servers. Prices are shown in Canadian dollars (CAD), taxes extra where applicable.

A problem with your purchase (a product that doesn't work, a double purchase, a mistake)? Write to us within 30 days at bonjour@appsolidaire.com: we refund or we fix it, simply. A refund deactivates the matching access code and cancels the corresponding payout to the cause.

Groups on the platform are verified by us before being offered to buyers. The group gets a campaign link and a private dashboard; it is responsible for the accuracy of the information it gives us (name, description, payout details).

It is prohibited to use the platform to try to bypass payments, to share codes en masse, to overload the service or to impersonate a group. We reserve the right to deactivate a code or a campaign in case of obvious abuse.

Products are provided “as is”. We do our best to keep the platform and the products working at all times, without being able to guarantee the complete absence of interruptions or errors. Our liability, where it applies, is limited to the amount of your purchase. Nothing in these terms reduces the guarantees provided by Quebec's Consumer Protection Act.

We may update these terms; the date at the top of the page governs, and important changes will be flagged on the site. These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Quebec (Canada).
